Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the National Commission for Tourism and National Heritage announced registration of the Oasis of Al-Ahsa, in the Eastern Region, on the UNESCO World Heritage List, during the World Heritage Committee meeting held, in the Bahraini capital Manama today, in the cultural heritage branch, as the fifth Saudi site to be included, in the list.

Prince Sultan also expressed thanks and gratitude of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin in Abdul Aziz Al Saud for his constant support and keenness to register the historic sites, in the Kingdom, as part of the UNESCO World Heritage List.


The Kingdom's national heritage through the program of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to take care of the cultural heritage of the Kingdom, receives great attention at the global level as a unique program, in the field of heritage care, he stated.
